Girl with the Arrow

Lori Torrens '04 (February 2009)
Kianu Alumna

Nomination:
Lori and KimiLori and Kimi

I, Kimi Heskett '05 Fowler, would like to nominate Lori Torrens '04 as this month’s girl with the arrow. Lori and I go way back and let me just say... she's awesome. Lori and I grew up in the same small town of Utica, Ohio and became friends in high school. Even back then she was an inspiration to me. Lori was always active in everything, involved in athletics, got stellar grades and still had fun. Without Lori and her mom I never would have found Muskingum College. When I got to Muskingum it was the same Lori... busy, active, successful and fun!

She helped me navigate that first scary year on campus and find my home in Kianu. Lori was always there for me and anyone else who needed her. She is truly selfless and a truly great friend. Even now Lori is busy living her life, getting her MBA while working like crazy. She also helped inspire me to go on to get my masters, and reading her away messages lets me know I'm not alone in being busy to the point of being crazy... but we convince each other it'll be worth it in the end.

I'm sure most of you know Lori and know just what I'm talking about. Best Wishes, Lori!

Love in XAN & Mine,

Kimi Heskett '05 Fowler
