I would like to nominate Jill Cutler for the Girl
with the Arrow. First of all, Jill was a wonderful addition to the retreat
this year. Jill talked about one thing that I hold true to my heart; when
you say something, stick by it. I think that this attitude should be a part
of every Kianu, because what one person does as an individual does count,
because it affects hundreds of other women. Besides all the great things she
did at the Retreat, Jill did something for the girls of the House that I want
to truly thank her for. On that horrible day, September 11th, Jill took the
time to stop by the House and check on us. I know it may sound trite, but
that was the sweetest thing. She realized that there were probably 13 scared
girls, far from home, who didn't know what would happen tomorrow. Just by
stopping by, Jill was able to make a lot of us feel better, and safer, because
we know that someone cares, and is looking out for us. By nominating Jill,
I hope she knows what a wonderful lady she is, and how much we love her for
just being her!
