I would like to nominate Samantha Sibert for “The Girl With the Arrow” for this month. Samantha and I have known each other since we were 9 years old, in the same girl scout group. We continued our friendship through the years while going to middle school and high school together. It was our senior year of high school when I asked Sam to come to Muskingum for the weekend to visit my sister Megan (2003 Kianu graduate). Megan took us to the Mardi Gras Party...wow what an experience when you're a senior in high school. That weekend getaway helped Sam narrow her decision to come to Muskingum!!

I look up to Sam in so many ways; she is a strong, passionate, independent woman that has the world in her hands. Sam is also the President of Kianu this year and has done an extraordinary job as a leader. When times get rough Sam still has a big smile on her face as she has experienced some hurtles in her life. She is also a true friend which is evident because we have been friends for over 12 years. Samantha is one of those people that I know I can, and always will, be able to count on. She exemplifies everything a Kianu is.

Samantha and I will be going our separate ways when we graduate in the spring but we'll always share Kianu and the forever friendship. Who knew 12 years ago while sitting pretty in our Girl Scout uniforms that we would be sitting in the Kianu meeting room many years later wearing our senior sweatshirts! Love You “Sammi Jo” with my whole "kianu" heart!
