A few
days after Christmas last year, I almost lost my best friend. I will never forget
the feeling in the pit of my stomach when Michael called to tell me that Neely
and Cory had been in a car accident. All I wanted was to know what was happening
and to be right there with her. The seriousness of their accident really put
my life and our friendship into perspective. It made me think back to how our
friendship started - with Muskingum and Kianu. Neely made me feel welcome on
the second floor of Thomas hall, even if at first we were a little unsure of
each other. She told me how special Kianu was, without spoiling any of the wonderful
surprises the club has to offer. Sharing Kianu with Neely is one of my fondest
memories from college. That is why I would like to nominate Neely Fisher as
the 'Girl with the Arrow' for July. Neely is the most caring and giving person
I know and I am so lucky to have her in my life. I will always cherish our friendship.
