Amie Ramsey (June 2003)
Kianu Alumna- Class of 2002

Lisa and AmieLisa and Amie
I would like to nominate my best friend in the entire world, Amie Ramsey, for the Girl with the Arrow. I think that sometimes the people we are the closest to are the ones that we forget to tell how much we appreciate them.

Contrary to popular belief, Amie and I did not know each other before Muskingum. We became inseparable early our freshman year and have remained that way ever since.

Amie was a great active, participating in everything and standing for what she believed in. She brought not only a grounded perspective, but also a great sense of humor to every meeting and activity.

I think that "Best Friend of the President" should be a recognized position by the club for all that they go through with us. She stood by me through all of my trials and tribulations in any position I held in the club without asking for the recognition she deserved.

Not only through Kianu, but also in my personal life, Amie has been my rock. I went through some trying times of losing loved ones and other personal problems that Amie didn't think twice about dropping everything to be there for me, even if it meant driving clear to Malvern! Amie has also dealt with many life issues of her own with an unbelievable amount of strength and grace that I will forever admire.

We also made the transition from college life to the "real world" together, and she continues to be my life support. When I think of Kianu, my friendships, and the people that have influenced my life, I tend to overlook Amie even though she is by far on top of the list. This is my attempt to recognize her for all that she truly is: the best friend that I have ever had, the strongest and most loving person I have ever met, and by definition The Girl with the Arrow.
